About Us
Foundations for Families has been a community staple for over 20 years
Foundations for Families is a non-profit organization that began as an outgrowth of the Marriage and Family Ministry of the Genessee Avenue Church of Christ. In 2005, F4F applied to, and received one of twenty-eight Ohio Compassion Capital Capacity Building Grants from the Governor’s Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives.
Foundations for Families also provides youth programming and support services for victims of crime. We have over 10 years’ experience providing marriage and family enrichment training, family skill building, and educational support. F4F is supported by a large and growing number of social workers, counselors, victim’s rights advocates, medical, and legal volunteers administered by our F4F staff.
Foundations for Families has consistently worked in partnership with community organizations to affect change in the Northeast, and Linden communities of Columbus. The Mission of F4F is to provide personal development and family training, advocacy support, and referrals to assist individuals, youth and families live safe, healthy and happy lives.
The Foundations for Families office is located inside the Church of Christ facility at 1889 Genessee Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211. F4F provides services to anyone in the state of Ohio. However our target population is Northeast (Linden) and the Near East side of Columbus

What you can expect from F4F:
Learning
Genessee Avenue Learning Center: A community day care providing exceptional care and education for children aged 2 to grade 8. We also offer a reliable school latch-key service and have a well-stocked food and seasonal clothing pantry for those in need.
Support
Grief support and substance abuse recovery groups for individuals seeking solace and strength in their journey towards healing and overcoming addiction.
Community
A back-to-school fest providing supplies, food, clothing, and health info. Aims to unite and support the community for the new school year. Fun activities, entertainment, and workshops for all. Join us in celebrating education and community!
